Pancreatic Cancer has the highest mortality rate of all cancers, with a 5-year survival rate of 12%.
3rd Leading Cause
It is the third leading cause of all cancer-related deaths. It is expected to become the 2nd by 2025
Survival Rate
Survival has not improved substantially in over 40 years due to late diagnosis.
Prognosis
The time of diagnosis is critical in determining the long-term prognosis for pancreatic cancer. Much depends on the tumor’s type and size and lymph nodes’ involvement.
